These Bambu Lab and Prime Day 3D-printing deals are perfect for beginners — here is a clear breakdown of what happened and why it matters right now.
The details below put the news in context: the key points first, the background after.
Prime Day is full of discounts across all categories, but maker hobbies are especially benefited by the discounts and deals. 3D printing is seeing a number of fantastic sales across all categories, from the printers themselves to filaments, tools, and more. Here are the best Prime Day 3D printing deals that I’ve found so far.
I’m a huge Bambu Lab fan when it comes to 3D printers. If someone asks me what the best 3D printer is to buy, I typically say Bambu Lab.
That’s not because they pay me to say that, or because I make a ton of money for saying that, but I truly believe it. In fact, Bambu Lab has never sent me a single 3D printer to review as of the time of writing this article.
The thing is, Bambu Lab makes genuinely awesome printers, simple-to-use software, and the company has built one of the biggest online 3D printing communities around. That’s what makes this Prime Day the perfect time to pick up one of their printers.

Right now, you can pick up the iconic Bambu Lab P1S Combo for $499, which is a $100 price drop from its normal going rate. The P1S Combo comes with an AMS, or automatic material system, meaning it can automatically swap between four filaments while printing.
The P1S is probably one of the best 3D printers in this price range if you want automation, print quality, and reliability. I have a P1S that has almost 3,500 hours of print time on it and it still runs flawlessly. However, the P1S is not the only 3D printer from Bambu Lab that’s on sale right now.
If you’re thinking that you need the latest-and-greatest from Bambu to get started with 3D printing, you’d be wrong. My first Bambu Lab printer was the A1 mini and I absolutely loved it.
In fact, the only reason that I upgraded to the P-series printers is because I got a great deal on my P1S and my P2S was a Christmas gift, so I didn’t need the smaller A1 mini anymore.
Really, anything in the Bambu Lab lineup will be a fantastic choice for your 3D printing adventures. The A1 series is great for those looking for an open frame printer, and the P series is a solid step up with additional features, like a better camera, an enclosed build for printing with high-temp filaments, and more.
There’s also the newer printers from Bambu, like the A2L and X2D, but those aren’t on sale right now. So I’d stick to looking at the sale printers listed above as those will give you fantastic print quality without breaking the bank.

The Bambu Labs P1S 3D printer is ready to go out of the box and can have you printing within 15 minutes. It features up to 16-color printing with the AMS unit, has a built-in camera for remote monitoring and time lapses, and has an enclosed body for printing even high-temperature filament.
If you’re not a fan of Bambu Lab, that’s okay, as there are quite a few other 3D printers on sale for Prime Day. Here are some of my favorite other printer deals available right now:
Prime Day isn’t just a great time to score discounted 3D printers, but also a fantastic time to pick up some tools, filament, and more. You can never have enough filament on hand, so here are some of my favorite filament deals that I’ve seen so far.
There are deals all over the place for 3D printers, even in areas you might not think of. Of course, filament is on sale, and so are build plates. However, one of the biggest things I’d buy if I were getting started with 3D printing is a mini cordless electric screwdriver set.
Whether you’re building a 3D printer or maintaining one, there are way too many screws that need removing and re-inserting to do it all by hand. I love having a mini electric screwdriver on hand for that, and now’s a great time to pick one up.
I’ve been 3D printing for years now, and I love it just as much as the day I started—if not more. With 3D printing, there’s always something new to make. Whether it’s a new tool for the house or shop, an organizational item, or just a fun toy or collectible for the kids, there’s no shortage of models to find online for free.
If you’ve been holding off on getting into the 3D printing hobby because you’ve been waiting for prices to come down, this is one of the best times of the year to save. So, what are you waiting for, go pick up your first (or 100th) 3D printer today!
