What is your WPM (Words per Minute)? #1

The topic of What is your WPM (Words per Minute)? #1 is currently the subject of lively debate — readers and analysts are keeping a close eye on developments.

This is taking place in a dynamic environment: companies’ decisions and competitors’ reactions can quickly change the picture.

The highest WPM for the 5 minute and the 1 minute, shared in the comments, will be featured on my next Monthly Dev Report respectfully 🙂

Note: When you finish the test, take a screenshot of your result and shared it in the comments!

Dude, I’m tired! This is too much! I haven’t written this much here in a week. I think this is a normal result. I think I’m a little faster than someone who types with one finger?

One finger is crazy. But yea it is tiring since it’s 5 mins straight. @konark_13 gave me the best link to test the community on since it’s not short and sweet. Wanna see how long can someone last doing this. Though, great work with one finger!

I expressed myself a little incorrectly, I meant that I type so slowly (as it seems to me) that even another person could probably do it faster with one finger.

If you like to take the one minute one, feel free! Made it where you have two options instead of doing the 5 min since it is a pain to do. Sorry for last minute changes 🫠

I got you! Let me make two separate things. One minute and a 5 min. Either one is fine 🙂

@ben Made the update. Feel free to take either one if you are up for it and have time 🙂

Hi,
I’m now looking for a reliable long-term partner.
You’ll use your profile to communicate with clients, while I handle all technical work in the background.
We’ll position ourselves as an individual freelancer to attract more clients, especially in the US market where demand is high.
Best regards,

I’ll be honest though, I don’t think I can do the 5minute one with that level of accuracy

Either way, you should attempt the 5 min one to see if you can get it at least for fun! 😀

I was super distracted by the content LOL, it was about how common eating insects is and I couldn’t stop smiling.

Crazy and great work. How did you get distracted by how common eating insects is among other things lol

It is satisfying for me in my opinion, though listening to it for 5 mins straight is crazy. I think it’s easy to implement since it is just detecting the key press and playing the sound. p5.js makes it easy in my opinion.

I’m surprise you can get a certification on there? I would assume you need to sign in though. Great work tho 😀

Yeahh you’d need to sign in actually. I didn’t see where i could screenshot so i just had to xD
